After your scenic bus trip from Galway City, board the ferry at the small fishing village of Cleggan and set sail to this small island taking in the coastal land and seascapes of the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way.
Walk the short distance from the ferry to the hotel and enjoy some delicious homemade soup and sandwiches while watching a short video about the island explaining the fascinating history, heritage and geology of the island in brief. Then go for an invigorating self-guided walk, with maps provided around the scenic Westquarter Loop. Inishbofin has a selection of official looped walks and many activities and sites to see. The island is a great place for bird watching and the corncrake can be heard here every year.
After your walk, return to the hotel for some freshly brewed tea/coffee and homemade scones before boarding the ferry back to the mainland and your onward bus trip back to Galway City.
