Our conservation ethos & sustainable experiences

Our conservation ethos

At Ireland Wild Escapes, protecting the wild places we love, is woven into everything we do. We believe in 3 simple things: caring for the environment and wildlife around us, celebrating the customs and traditions that make Ireland what it is, and keeping our travel dollars where they belong, in the communities that welcome you.

When locals thrive, we all thrive!

Environmental Preservation

We conserve natural resources and wildlife, embrace coexistence with the flora and fauna around us, and protect our built heritage.

Conservation of Customs & Traditions

We preserve indigenous Irish culture, encourage genuine cultural exchange, and champion responsible travel.

Economic Sustainability

We keep things local, spending and buying local wherever we can.

Local partnerships

We’re proud to partner with Interface Inagh, a studio and residency, a place where art, ecology and community meet. A space for visual artists, dancers, writers and musicians, alongside ecologists, local landowners and the wider Connemara community, who roll up their sleeves and help with much needed restoration work and create art and craft every day.

Place

Picture the Inagh Valley in Connemara: 37 acres of former Sitka Spruce forest, once a working salmon hatchery, now slowly and lovingly returned to native Irish woodland, one tree at a time. A space where traditional local crafts and traditions are offered as creative learning workshops.
